"Logu i Bjeshkeve" is a cultural event that takes place every year since 1998, the second saturday of August, in the village of Lepushe, Kelmend. In this event the girls of Kelmendi compete to be the most beautiful of the mountains. This is an excellent opportunity for a visitor to get acquainted with the traditional costumes, dances and songs of the area of Kelmendi, in northern part of Albania.
Three-day activity for the second seturday of August, Lepushe, Kelmend.
Day1: We set off from Tirana to Lepushe, on friday morning, with a brief stopover at Leqet e Hotit and Tamare. After that, we continue towards the village of Selce to visit the Waterfall of Sllapi, walking for about one hour. When we arrive at the spot of the waterfall , there is 90% probability especially on a sunny day. that we find a rainbow over it which is a distinctive feature of this waterfall, making it one of the most attractive one in Albania. Later this day, we will continue towards Lepushe to get accommodated and have dinner in one of the guesthouses of the village, locally known as "bujtina".
Day2: After having breakfast, we will set off towards a place called "Qafa e Predelecit", where we will attend the annual cultural event of "Logu i Bjeshkeve". After the end of the event we will be back to the guesthouse to have lunch. After lunch, we will set off to visit Plave and Guci. In the evening we will return to the guesthouse. Later on we will have dinner and get prepared for the climb of the next day.
Day3: We will get up early in the morning to climb the Mountain of Vajusha, 2056m high. After the descent of the mountain we will turn back to the guesthouse to have lunch. Next, we will return to Tirana, taking with us beautiful memories and wishing to be back again next year.
What should you have with you:
1.sports outfit, jackest against the wind
3.gloves/mittens and hoods
4.sun glasses and a cap
5.energetic food for the climb such as dried fruits, nuts, chocolates etc.
6.bottle of water 1.5-2 L
